MEMBER NEWS:

PhotoJoseph Studios and ReelHouse Films are working on the local book project “Beauty After Breast Cancer”, with the goal of placing a beautiful coffee-table style book in cancer centers around the world, featuring the stories and intimate portraits of breast cancer survivors, showing how they have found their own beauty after breast cancer.

A short video produced by Levi Anderson, "Talking Trash in Gilliam County," is one of the top 5 entries of a film contest that will screen at the Northwest Film Center for the "Let’s Talk Trash Film Gala" in Portland, OR on Nov. 10th. Anderson shot the film in and around his hometown with fellow SOFaM member, Meredith Roberts, who assistant directed. Click for Event Details and to view the video.

Bruce Bayard presented two nights of concert performance at the DanceSpace. As well as performing on Buchla synthesizer, he projected improvisational video collage to the accompaniment of a dancer, vocalist and musicians.

David Kirk West just completed and released a new 5-minute documentary called "Hooked On Life" for a competition based out of Portland called "Storytelling Parade." Click here to watch the video.

Darkwing Manor & Morguetorium Museum will be open this season on Oct. 30, 31 and Nov. 1, 2014 for another year of their award-winning haunted house. This year's haunt features several SOFAM members: makeup artist Leah Gibson and actors Michael Meyer and Lia Dugal, and of course the Baron and Baroness Tim and Tina Reuwsaat.

Matt Doell was recently in Seattle where he wrote and produced a series of commercials for Mackie live sound equipment. He is also writing three industrial video scripts and one tv commercial for PNC Bank in Pittsburg, PA this month.
