Grace's Visit to the Rogue River Valley (1914)

Shot in 1914, entirely with a hand-operated, Ernemann 35mm camera by A.C. Allen, an orchardist and amateur photographer. The film features an all-local cast of characters starring former Broadway actress Grace Fiero. Hailed as a 'real hit' in its time, today it provides us with a rare and fascinating glimpse into life in the Rogue Valley nearly a century ago with footage of Crater Lake, Payne’s Gulch, Medford, “Ashland Park”, Siskiyou Pass and “Ashland Lithia Springs.”
