The Southern Oregon University Digital Cinema program (DCIN) officially began only 5 short years ago, half of those years being pandemic impacted. But even with the odds against the program, it has joined the ranks of the top 30 film schools in the United States and Canada.
This milestone is no surprise to Andrew Gay, the dean of communications and arts at SOU, who made it his goal since starting the program in 2019.
While this is a great accomplishment, students and faculty look forward to an ambitious future for the program.
